I have two PPI amps, PCX1250 mono block 500w @ 2ohm, and a PCX250 50w x2 @ 4ohm.
I have a chance to buy an Xtant 6.1 (600x1) and a 2.2 (50x2) for less then the org price of the 6.1. (6.1 $799reg 2.2 $499reg, I get both for $650. Canadian prices.)
This is from the dealership and the amps are brand new (4 year warranty). My PPI's are a little over 3 years old (warranty just ran out).
My question is how would these amps compare? I haven't heard Xtant amps in a car. I have a single Eclipse 88122DVC. I know the 6.1 will push it harder than the 1250 but my concern is sound quality. Up front I have Eclipse 8332 (5 1/4").
Would there be much difference and if so would it be a gain or loss in quality?
Any suggestions would be appreiated.
Thanks
Mark

I'm not sure about the Xtant's, but I'd be more than happy to buy that PCX250 from you. It matches perfectly with my PCX1250.

The xtant amps are for "music" regulated power supplies, SQ adjustments up the wazzooo....good stuff.

Xtant IS sound quality. I wouldnt have anything else in my cars
