I can't ever seem to decide on my amp, but now its crunch time.  Heres what i have as a list so far,  i would like opinions on the amps you have tested if you don't mind. And if you know prices for the ones i don't have prices listed for that would help lots!.

PG Octane R30.0:1

Crossfire VR2000D   $700

Hifonics XX-Colossus  $600

Soundstream EGA 1000.2x ( I would need 2 of these)

Soundstream XXX-5000D

Basically what i need is an amp for the 2 Brahma's im getting, so im looking for 2000wrms or more at 2 ohm.   And my GF needs an amp for her 3 X-10's , so something in the 2000-3000wrms at 2 ohm range.

Im open to sugestions still, but i cant really spend more than $700, e-bay prices are my friend.

Thanks

Im really leaning towards the Hifonics by the way because of the power to price ratio, but if it will hinder the performance of the subs then i may change my mind.   Its 40" long tho, , so it would have to mount on the hatch of my suv haha.

The Hifonics or the Crossfire are the better amps from this list, IMO.

I definately know the crossfire is the best on that list.  Any idea of sq difference between the hifonics and crossfire?

And does anyone know the current draw of these 2 amps? (fuse rating)

HiFonics Brutus amps can usually be found pretty cheap. Ikesound.com is running a deal on the Orion 2500D, its like $430 I think, check into that.

There definately good amps, i know that for certain, they hold many records, and every professional review i have read has given them top honours.  I have wanted a crossfire amp for about 3 years now.  Finally bought one.

So i hooked up my VR2000D in my pathfinder today just to test it to make shure everything was ok before i started making platforms for my fiberglass box....any ways.    I hooked it up to my Type-R 12 in the ported box that i hit 143db in and i let her rip,, of course i had it wired to 2 ohms (2000+ wrms)  Lets just say holey mofo haha, i gota get this sucker tested again, the difference from 500 watts to 2000 watts on the single sub inside the truck is VERY noticeable, its abnoxious now! whell it was before hehe   Anyways, i can already tell the amp seems to play the sub alot cleaner than the old amp, bass roles and quick beats are more precise, so far i am reccomending the Crossfire amps to everyone out there with the money and alternators.  I currently have a 120 amp alt in my truck and my lights were dimming to the point of shutting off so i definately need a bigger alt,  ( on the way next week thanks to www.mechman.com again.  210 amps for $450, great deal)

Can't wait till the Brahma's come in and my FG is done so i can win every comp around hehe

Have a good one! im going for a drive...
