I am in the midst of installing new components in my 94 accord. I cannot remove the window handle as it is a manual roll down. The rest of the panel is off. Being stumped on a honda is embarrasing, thanks.

You will need a special tool to remove the locking ring on the window crank, or you can wing it and use a hook tool. Push the panel away from the crank and you should see a small clip that locks the crank, behind that little plastic disc. Just pull it off, being careful not to let it fly across the room. If you do, Autozone or any parts store sells a box of 5 or so for $2. Reinstallation is the reverse, but may take a couple of trys to get it right.

there's one correction i'd like to add to slammedb5's post....for reinstallation, insert that metal clip into the crank handle first, then just push the crank handle back in place. it's by far much easier to do than to try to push that little metal clip into position with the crank handle already in place. good luck!

Good call fellas, thanks, got that off and now I am making trim rings for the 6.5"s since there was actually 5.25"s. I am using 3/4" mdf but it seems too high for the panel to sit down on to the metal door. The magnets are pretty deep. Anyone have any insight on this issue?
