How much should I be expecting to spend installing a new alternator? Already have it and the power cable, just my car makes it like impossible to do it from the top of the engine compartment. So I need someone that can get the puppy up which means shop time now. (A jack would be great if I had the time and the weather wasn't ass, stupid rain/snow/cold Ohio crap.) Just looking for basic figures, I wouldn't think much, but I dunno.

Hard to say.  I suggest calling a few reputable auto repair shops in your area and get quotes.  Shouldn't be more than an hour's labor or so.
