Which of these two 8 inch subwoofers would you recommend? I want the one that'll play low and loud(well, for an 8 inch sub). I plan to install them(sealed enclosures) in the rear storage compartments of a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab.

I like the Image Dynamics better than the JL, but don't get me wrong JL is a good speaker.  The ID sub has more excursion and better power handling.  Both subs use about the same size box.  The ID sub has a deeper mounting depth.  Also look into the JL Stealth boxes, I have never heard them but I think they are kinda expensive.  Go with the Image Dynamics

I don't think you will find what you are looking for with only one of the above drivers. Adire Audio's Koda 8 or an RE 8 would probobly work better for you.

Thanks for the replies!

customsuburb - I plan to install two subs, not one. Guess I'll look into those subs you mentioned. Thanks for pointing those out!

Ok, I finally decided to go with the RE 8(thanks customsuburb). But now I have a dilemma.....I can't find any online retailers. posted_image
