I'm looking to put a complete system in my daughters car in a few weeks but need some ideas on the witch speakers & amp & cross over to buy. I already have a kenwood cd player in the car right now. That I would like to stay with it's only a couple of months old. The car still has the factory speakers. So i'm looking for FRONT SPEAKERS & REAR SPEAKERS & SUB WOOFERS

I don't to go crazy. It's her first car! And I want to make sure that she takes care of it for now (16yrs old). And when she has proved her self I will buy her a new car and have better toys installed. Just something with a reasonable price. Between $500 or $1000. or less.

Take her shopping, and have her bring along her favorite music CD.  Go to car stereo shops and listen to several coaxial speakers that will fit your vehicle.  Purchase the ones that she likes the sound of best and that fit your budget.  As far as a subwoofer, does she want to boom the block, shatter windows and sterilize roaches, or does she simply want good bass in the car?

Keep her license until she is 18, trust me, it is for the better... Anyways, what Dyohn said. Shopping is good. For a budget, I'd say stay away from boom the block. Anything noticeable is gonna get ripped off unless you are putting in a good alarm and she'll be near by the vehicle or in very secure/low crime rate areas. It will save money for now, it is less likely to get ripped, and police won't be harsh (I don't care if your male or female, I'd like to see you get outta a ticket for having your equipment too loud). If you have no decent local shops that can cut you a good deal, BB usually is willing to give like 10-15% off for a package, at least most of my locals were. Now given this isn't gonna be great products, but they are cheap. Otherwise go local, its worth it. Stay with bigger names for cheaper prices, just realize that if you can get a reputeable audio name for like 30-50 more a sub, then it is probably worth it. You'll be paying for the amp the most, so focus on a good amp. Highly recommended that I've seen is US Amps, but they got a tag to them. :)

Stay away from cheep and flashy, ,ur not going to see the speakers,,your going to hear them.  So if their pretty and blue there going to catch her eye, but most likely sound like ass.  Don't go to wall mart or the such, stay away from sony, audiobahn, jensen, low end pioneer, pyramid, legacy.

Its definately reccomended you go to a car audio shop since they will know their products very whell, and most likely will over a cheep discount on installation if products are purchased their.  In the end it saves to buy from a shop.

A good system for right around a grand would be get infinitiy front and rear coaxils, an alpine 4 channel amp (you don't need the V12 series), and 1 Alpine Type R subwoofer. Install and all that is less than a grand come to think of it. You can get good stuff for all of that.

Thinks for all the info. I will take all of it into Consideration and also thinks for your concern. Taking her to go shopping and checking what they have to offer sound better.

P.S. I just want something simple that sound better then wants in there now. Good sound, not to loud so she doesn't attrack attention.
