the ONLY thing i can find (except for ebay sellers) is https://www.schneideraudio.com/sc_main.asp?SectionName=Home&PageName=Welcome which is the company's main site. Apart from stupid stuff from ebay, there is this website, and one other site in a 4wd forum mentioning that their amps are good quality (not very helpful, or informative). I know it all seems daunting and dodgy (cause their website states FAR FAR FAR overpriced MSRP's) but i can get these items relatively cheap (the 6000X for $550AUD = $432.00USD) Any idea's comments? i need an amp rated well enough to power 2 x RF 12" XLC's (i think its a RF2412 to those in the USA).

if you read their mission statement it kinda suggests that yes, they are competing w/ high end, but make a competitively priced product for everyones needs. So perhaps in your case it will meet your needs. Unfortunately, the best way to choose gear, is listen to it for yourself. So perhaps a more reputable company is a good idea, until you have lots of money at your disposal.

OK, here's what I get from the whole thing...
1. They stole their web design RIGHT from JBL... I thought I clicked a wrong link somehow... This means little originality to me. They like to play follow the leader, and while imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, the copy is RARELY as sharp as the original.
2. What the HELL is X-Class? It seems to be popping up everywhere lately, so I figured I'd ask, finally. (Too lazy to do my own research, I guess... BUT now that I have asked, I'll probably research it.)
3. The TriPath amp they have - is it class T or is it high class A/B? (and what the hell does high class A/B mean?) The TriPath technology IS VERY GOOD technology, and does sound VERY good (for digital), this amp still seems WAY overpriced.
5. Who's decks are they trying to copy? Sanyo? Pioneer? Rockford? Alpine? Again, no originality - see statement 1
6. Yeah, they all seem a bit overpriced, especially in today's competitive market. The woofers seem inline, pricewise though...
Yeah, I'd say they are mostly marketing hype. Do a LOT of research on the stuff before you lay down your hard earned cash... My $.02

Schneider is an old German company who made high-end home audio gear back in the 70's and 80's. I don't know if they are still in business. The link to Schneider Car Audio is an Australian company associated with Samsung. I believe they purchased a series of designs from Blaupunkt, and their gear is probably manufactured in Korea by Samsung or Hyundai. Probably pretty good quality equipment, although I've never had my hands on anything from them. "Class X" operates exactly the same as a Class D amplifier, but it incorporates a voltage regulator to help prevent dips in the power supply rail voltage. Adding a class "X" regulator can increase the efficiency of class D or T. It is being used by several manufacturers to aloow them to legitimately claim higher outputs from their same old designs since efficiency is increased, although in my experience those increases are on the order of 1-2%, not the 10-20% they claim. It's just slightly more than a marketing gimick... slightly. "High" class A/B is forcing a class A/B amplifier to operate closer to class A. It allows cheaper circuitry to sound like more expensive circuitry, and usually results in greater dynamic range and 'warmer" tones at the expense of efficiency. ------------- Support the12volt.com

An Aussie friend of mine just emailed me that Schnieder head units are exactly the same as Sanyo and marginal. He said the amps are top knotch and recomended. ------------- Support the12volt.com

thankyou all for the replies, they sure came in handy. their website seems well over-priced, but their products can be purchased ALOT cheaper than the MSRP of the web-page, that why i initially suspected them of being cheap "knock-offs" of other brands. Still, if they are good... i am on a budget, best get to a retailer and see for myself... now i just have to find one that isnt on ebay.com.au again all, many thanks.

Thankyou all for the replies, they have come in handy. I will try tracking down a retail outlet here, and go see them in action (if i can find one). Their website MSRP's are far too over-priced, but their products can be picked up ALOT cheaper thru re-sellers, now i just have to find one that isnt on the internet. again all, many thanks.
