Alright guys i know the new MTX amps dont ship for like another month but i was thinking about getting myself one of those and a second 12" 9500.  The amp i want is...... The "Thunder 92001" https://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/amplifiers/thunder92001.cfm

14.4VDC Power4Ų10002Ų20001Ų30004 Bridged 2 Bridged 4Ų (Two Amps Strapped)4000 x 1/22Ų (Two Amps Strapped)6000 x 1/2

There is the power specs on it well i as wondering how it would work for two 12" 9500's they are the dual 4 ohm models.  I know it can and should work for them but do you think it would be alittle over kill for them????? It looks like its going to be a spendy little amp too from what the MTX site says but o well it will be cool sh!t if it all works out for me

Thanks

Chad

I have always been a fan of mtx amps and subs (even their coaxials/components) and so far, without having gotten my hands on the new amps, think they will be a very good thing. their fan tech looks solid, and I think the amps look really nice. you can def. count on the fact that they will supply underrated, clean, quality power. thats just a given in my eyes. my only real question, is how well they will work at 1ohm, as mtx amps usually only have gone to 2 ohm (recommended at least, lots of their amps went 1ohm unofficially just fine)

that, and I am wondering if they have solved their minor noise issues in their 4 channels...

Well, since they don't ship for another month I doubt many people outside of MTX have opinions about the new ones. Personaly I always "wait and see" after a redesign.

also, its a very safe bet regardlesss, because mtx stand by their products. if you have an issue, they will take care of it within reason.    best company that I've ever dealt with.
