HI.......on my 88 honda crx i got 3 Illumination wires on the stereo harness. Can anyone tell what they are for? Do you really need them connected to the deck? Reply back Thanks

Depends on your HU. Some need it, some just use the 12 volt power for Ilumination. There for when you turn on your head lights your HU will brighten up too, And one of those three wires might be dimmer wire.

no, these wires aren't necessary to hook up, but if they're in the harnesses, usually I'll connect them.
