Ok, 2001 Ford Escort. I installed HU 2 months ago and everything worked fine till the other day. Its my girlfriends car and I add one 12 in the trunk. If your familiar with this car you know that to get the HU out you have to disconect all the A/C controls. Well, install seemed to go fine but the next day she said her A/C blower was not working. I checked all fuses but I haven't had time to fight that dash apart again. I was just wonderin if any of you knew right of the top of your head where I went wrong. I know the vacume hoses are hooked up cause when you turn the knob you can hear them. All the harnesses are hooked up infact, I reached in from behind and felt them. Is there a certain way I need to hook the vacume hoses up? Like do I need to start the car to get the vacume going then hook them up? Any help would be appreciated as always.

Did you reconnect the cable to the right of the gas pedal?  It has a round pedal on the end of it.

Yup, thats just the temp control though. The blower ain't coming on at all, and its controled by the vacume hoses.

The vacuum hoses have two points of connection:  1 is on the new kit and the other is located near the bottom of the passenger side of the center console.  Check if it didn't disconnect

Ok I'll give that a try but like I said I can hear the hiss when I turn the knob. Since I don't have the car here right now are there any other suggestions?

Ok I fixed it. I actually had left a harness unhooked. The one that is under the vacume hoses. When the dash is removed that harness hits the lip under there and gets knocked off. So I didn't remember to put it back, because I didn't know that I had taken it off.
