Hi Hi all. I would like your expert opinion... See attached WinISD picture / graph. I went shopping and basically ended up with a ballpark quote for $170 to build a Fiberglass box. The yellow (sealed) & green (tuned 30Hz) are graphs for new larger FG box and light blue is current box. Do you guys think its worth it to spend the money on building the larger FG box?

It depends on what you want.  The response curves are very close, however, and look to be within 3db of each other.  Your current enclosure with a large response peak at about 65Hz will probably produce more SPL overall, but I prefer the smoother curves of either "new" curve.  If you're looking for SQ, the new sealed enclosure will probably sound better and be less boomy.  Your current enclosure is probably best for gross perceivable SPL.

Please try this as the 'uploaded image' seems very small...

Thanks DYohn. Still, do you think $170 for the smoother curve is worth it (is the difference that significant on the ear / skin)? I do listen to wide variety of music and appreciate sound quality

I guess with the remote bass boost support on the AMP I could get similar SPLs around 50Hz with new FG box. But I still contemplate if spend is worth it...
