I'm having some really odd problems with a 2001 6-disc in-dash changer. I'm trying to install it in a 95 Accord but it will only power up with no sound. I bought the correct reverse wiring harness for it, but it doesn't work. My brother-in-law tried it in his 2000 Honda Odyssey and it worked fine.

Does anyone know if there is anything weird about these new stereo decks that prevent them from working on older cars?

Thanks in advance for any help.

There may have been a remote turn on wire for an amp that the 2001 player needs in order to work. The 1995 Accord doesn't have an amp but the 2001's may have had the amp, therefore no sound without the amp.

I'll check that.  Thanks, Jeff.
