i want to install a sub (single 10) in my g/f's 99 sunfire GT convertable. it will be in a sealed fiberglass enclosure. anyhting i should know about installing  sub in a convertable for best SQ? thanks ~Ryan

I don't know about sound quality. But I had a friend that a 12 in the trunk of his conv. camaro. First time he dropped the top it broke his rear window and smashed his speaker. So be carful about that if its even possible in that car.

A sealed enclosure would probably give you the best sound quality, assuming the drop top allows some air to pass through to open air, creating a "larger" box for the speaker.

If it were a ported enclosure, the sound wouldnt be terribly effective unless the trunk were tightly sealed off.

You want plenty of power and an adjustable remote bass control with the amp.  There will be big differences in volume with top up/ top down.  Set up the sub to sound right with top down, then she can turn the bass control down when it's up.
