I installed a 1200watt. amp. and 2 12" subs. into my 01 Stang.  I hooked up everything to the head unit the way it is suypposed to be.  It worked for 5 mins.  Then the subs. stopped working and the left side of the car speakers went dead.  I checked the left speakers by splicing them into the right side speakers.  No sound still.  When I hooked the right side back up I got no sound anywhere.  I then hooked everything back like stock had it.  I disconnected the power suply cable to the amp from the headunit, and the subs.  I still have no sound from the the car speakers.  I have power to the head unit, just no sound.  what happened? And can i fix it?

Hard to say.  Do you have one of the Mach audio systems?
