I plan to buy an 12" Alpine Type E svc sub.
My questions is, would it be better to get a Pioneer GM-7100M and over power it some, or a Rockford Fosgate 201S, and take the chance of having it be under powered a little?

Also, can anyone show me a visual of how you wire a 4ohm single voice coil sub (like the above Alpine) to a 2 channel amp?

I don't understand how the RF would be underpowering it? It matches the RMS exactly. Wire it it bridged, use + on one channel, - on the other. The amp should specify which + and -.

Well, it's 50 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms. So I figured if you bridged it, even though it says 200 watts RMS x 2 at 4ohms, it may actually be a little under that.

That RF amp does 200 watts continuous (RMS) at 4 ohms. Like said above it would be a perfect match for that sub.  Alpine came out with a new Type E sub that is probobly better and costs less though. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-Yg7xRGh7gb0/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=67700&I=500SWE1242

Cheaper?
The Type E I listed above is $105 (including S&H) for two 12's

Ah, I now see that the other Type E is also 2 for 1.
My only problem with that one (SWE-1242) is that it seems to be basically unheard of.

If I'm going to get a Pioneer 250 RMS x 1 at 4 ohm amp, which of these would you recommend?

Sorry I didn't catch that two for one deal. posted_image  If you do use two subs they will each need around 150 to 200 watts continuous or so. Maybe something like this would work. https://www.cardomain.com/item/MTX421D
