I was installing a flip down tv and dvd player in a 2003 ford explorer, there was a problem with the dvd player and I had to stop everything and start putting everything back together. I had just started up the car and was listening to the radio. I turned the car off and wanted to see if I could get power to the flip down off the wires that were already ran. when I turned the key to acc. I had no power to the flip down as well as my headunit. I may have touched some wrong wires together or something but that would have just blown a fuse right? I pulled every fuse I could find in that car out manually and I didnt find one blow fuse anywhere I even checked all the ones under the hood. Somebody please help!!!!! also I used my test light and I have constant power I just dont have accessory power.

it wouldnt have constant power either if the fuse was blown right? I know it doesnt have acc. power so I have no idea what the prob could be.

Did you check the inline fuse on the radio itself?

I didnt see one ,the harness is wrapped in that factory tape and there was no bulge in the tape that made it look like it would have one

I was thinking you had an aftermarket head unit. You did right checking the fuses first. I think I would try putting the wires back the way they were. The ones you messed with after the last time the radio worked. You said you were trying to power the flipdown off the wires already ran. What wires? Kinda hard not knowing what all you have done so thats why I say I would hook it back like it was and see if the radio operation returns. You may wanna take a look in your owners manual and find the radio fuse and check it again. If nothing else just put a new one in it's place even though it looks good just to be sure. I assume the head doesn't turn on after you start the engine either correct?
