OKay, I have a little problem and I am hoping that you guys can lend me a hand. When I took off my stock cd player, there was some spark so I put it back in. Now, everytime the car starts, I have to keep on fixing the time and radio presets. Somebody told me that I might need to get a memory chip or something... dont know jack about this stuff.

BTW, im not sure but I think it was the ground wire that sparked.

You pulled loose the +12v constant wire most likely.

Check your 12V constant fuse in your car. I think the fuse is fine because your headunit is work. Check the radio fuse anyway just to be sure.

The other thing that could have happen is that you wire up the trigger wire to the headunit in error so there is no memory to the unit. You should have a 12V constant power and a 12V remote (ACC key positon) going to the head unit. Test to see if you got these two things.

Wire diagram, guessing your car is a 1996 Sentra.
