I have the kicker comp vr 15's two of them duaal voice coil wired down to 1 ohm. they are in a seal custom enclosure made to fit my weird trunk. I have a kicker kx 1200.1 amp that at 1 ohm pumps 1200 watts rms. Is this going to overpower my subs? They were sold to me from the local shop by a guy who swears that this is the perfect setup. Is he telling the truth or did he just make a sale by bending the truth? Please help before I blow my subs!

You won't blow your subs unless you're an idiot with the volume control.
I could use a 11241243123 w amplifier. As long as I don't run the subs past max excursion they'll last forever.

You will NEVER blow your subs if your gains are set correctly. That is all anybody should have to say about it, go search for "setting gain" on this very board, and you will find your answers...
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Have the shop set the gains and then DONT SCREW WITH THEM!!!! I can pretty much gurantee that amp can push those into distortion. My friend has 2 CVR 12s running offa SPL 1200W amp and that amp will push the subs into distortion is the gain is up to much. Plus, kicker is a much better amp, and im sure puts out more RMS power than the SPL.
