My g/f 's 1991 civic hatchback has this intermittent FM radio problem...sometimes when the car is running the FM stations wont have any reception at all and sound like crap if there is any....and other times its totally fine...AM radio is always working...and it only goes crappy when the car is started...when the key is just on...its fine....any ideas as to why??

Thanks for the help

is the stock antenna on the car?  I had a problem wiht a vehicle once before where it was a problem with a different antenna that was on the car.  removed the antenna and everythign was fine.

plug another antenna into it and test it...  does it work now? if it does then it's an antenna problem, if it doesnt then its in the deck.....
