I have a 97 Camry which I have a Kenwood 4channel 500w for the speakers and an Infinity 600W monoblock for my dual kappa 12s. I am having the common problem of having my lights dim at higher volumes and I'd like to upgrade the alternator. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to go to find an upgraded one? Perhaps a direct bolt on replacement. I don't plan on adding any more power to the system, just a cap once I get that alternator installed. Thanks!!

Get an alternator, use the alternator, tell the cap to sod off. Your alternator will overcome anything that little waste of money can and ya know, that's less money out. Put the money up for a good HO alternator. Are those watt ratings RMS/Continous or Peak?
EDIT: Stay away from Alterstart. They sent me a bad alternator. (Who the hell sends out bad parts, that's just dumb.) Supposedly. Its in the mail going back for warranty. Hopefully they'll send it back to me not working still so I can get a refund via lawyer. They just got lucky all it did was fry my battery. Which was fairly new dammit.
