lol....thats awesome...sorta.  cant really help u totally but it might help to surround the entire player in foam? perhaps the foam will absorb enough of the vibration from the bass to keep it from skipping.  hehe..or maybe stick the player on a big spring so its like a bobble-head cd player thing...ok that was dumb.  the foam thing is my best idea cause i'm a newb at this stuff too.

have you tried useing the strap that comes with the cd player to bolt down the back of the deck to make it more stable? im running 8-12s and my HU doesnt skip.

If you are going to use it for competitions then make you a harness extension so that when you are at a competition you can take the HU out of the car.....Then you can play it as loud as you want....

You have a resonant refquency issue with the laser transport. The only way to solve this is to turn the volume down (not what you wanted to hear) or change the cd player out to a cd player that is immune to the effects of this. As most cd players do not address this fact it leaves but 2 brands to consider. One is the now discontinued MB Quart NRA450  - a 30 second antiskip buffer takes care of this. The second and better option is any Eclipse cd player where the laser sled is tuned to resonate at 19hz. If it still skips with one of these, then that is one damn fine box you have there which is causing your entire dashboard to vibrate beyond control.

i know my mirrors shake up and down at least 1/4 inch, the steering wheel shaked up and down even more, the rearveiw wont stay put, it keeps moving down. my rear deck area lifts up alot, the roof kind of bubbles out. thats all ive noticed so far, along with the skipping.

One of the last systems I did hit so hard that it was knocking the caps off of the circuit boards in the amp. Seems those great Xtant amplifiers just couldn't keep up with the abuse of two Eclipse aluminum 12" subs. I do not like to sit in this customers can, you can actually see the front window rippling from the pressure.

holly cow man if the bass hits this hard and your in the car doesn't your head hurt? LIke thats gotta be serious bass to be able to do that and definite ear damage is occuring for sure.

my ears popped a few times..i think my right ear is clogged from blood now .....but thats nothing new, im used to systems like this, but i think this one might have out did my explorer i had....but when i play it up for about 10 minutes my neck kind of hurts, like where my skull meets my neck.....but it could be from when i rolled the rodeo at 75 mph 3 years ago with no seatbelts.
im running a JVC KDAR5000 touchscreen cd player, rockford fosgate 1000a2 amp,1ga welding cable for power and ground,4 12 inch rockford fosgate HE2 DVC subs in sealed boxes....stock alt(the voltage when bass hits goes down to 13.2...which i think sucks)....i sent my other 1000a2 in to get rebuilt and ill be running one for every 2 subs.....the door and 6x9 speakers are stock, but the 6x9s pop now because of the bass i think.my next upgrade will be either focal components or mb quarts....2 sets of components one for rear and one for front.

crap i get sick of my components cuz i luv listening to it loud but then my ears start to ring. Its so crystal cler , so im tempted to keep turning the knob up. So now i have given up and i just fade to the rear a bit. Can i reccomend the Infinity Perfect Kappa 6.1's ? They are VERY GOOD just power them properly with a GOOD amp. I found out aftwer swapping amps that these components are amazing.
