I recently had a whole audio system installed with high end products. The system sounds great. However, when i am driving and go over bumps in the road, a lot of static comes out of my driver's side tweeter.(MB quart). The shop that installed the parts switched the tweeters from left to right, but the static noise remains. They can't figure out what it may be. The noise is intermittent and sporadic as to when it occurs. What could it possibly be? The amp? the eq? I'm running a alpine head unit, pioneer 9800 eq. MB Quart all around. Alpine V12 amp. 2 JL's 12" in trunk. Please help me fix this problem with your expertise. Thanks.

Check all the terminals where the signal is carried from amp to the crossover to the speaker connections. If there are any frayed wires connecting ground this will give you the scratchy sound. As well, check all the RCA connections. A good way to check is to get another set of RCA ( BRAND NEW ) and start driving around with someone and unplug certain RCA's and install the new ones in it's place ( temporarily of course ). If the scratchy sound is coming from a bad RCA, you will find it through trial and error.
