I have a 2000 Mustang convertible with the mach system, and the factory radio gave all it could, I hear this thing has 3 factory amps, my question is where are they and how do i bypass it?

You should be able to access standard factory ford plugs just to the right of the factory radio in the console.

More then one head unit used in same car. Easy access to standard plug allows an easy switch.

I believe the two of the amps are mounted inside the trunk. They are mounted to the inside roof of the trunk. The third one I believe is mounted in the dash under the cd player. My friend had a mustang and I remeber these being the locations. You might want to check it out though.

As far as bypassing goes you may have to run new wires to the speakers.

What exaclty are you trying to do?

If you want to put in a new deck and don't want to to use the amps you could run new wires.

If you are putting in subs you don't need to bypass it. You could tap of the input wires to one of the amps and bring those leads to a sub amp. I can't remember which amp it was. You would have to find the amp that powered the woofers in your car. That would be the one to tap off. I don't think this is what you are trying to do...
