Hello,
I have a 1995 Camaro and I just installed a new pioneer head unit. I think I have all the wires connected correctly: speakers, yellow power to yellow power, black grounds, and the head unit's red ACC to the car's orange memory wire. However, I am experiencing a problem with the memory. Normally when I start my car I have to turn the head unit on and then the head unit only turns off when I open the door after I have turned my car off. Every time I get into my car, I have to turn on the head unit myself and the unit has no memory of CD position or preset stations. The unit does have memory during one session but loses all the memory when I open the door. I don't really understand why this is happening. Anybody have any ideas?

Well, since it sounds like your OEM stereo connecter plug was missing, and you were FORCED into installing your stereo this way, without using a harness adapter, here should be a link to your car's electrical diagram for stereo installation.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
