I got my system set up perfect and it was working great. This morning when I turned the stereo on there was no bass...when I check the amp it was not on. I thought the problem might be with the turn on lead so I shorted the power terminal and turn on terminal together. The amp the  turned on but the bass was really weak, actually there was no bass just some weak thumps once in a while. Could there be something wrong with the amp?

Did you check all the other connections ( GROUND, RCA and Power ) ?

One other thing to consider... check the crossover on the amp and make sure It didn't get switched to High Pass for the subs...  That could do it
