Hi. I added XMdirect pioneer adaptor XMD1000and XMdirect tuner XMDp10100 toPioneer Double din FH-P5000MP
Although I can hear the preview station through the AUX. I cannot control the XM, nor does the receiver acknowledge the presence of XM. Any help would be nice. Thanks

often times resetting will solve communication issues...

were you going through the aux input to just test to make sure you were getting a signal to the tuner, then you tried through the P-Bus and got nothing. Also, XMDirect does not say it is compatible with your reciever.

I spoke to Pioneer and they told me I have to go with the GEX-P910xm

you have to disconnect the constant memory wire from the radio then hook everything up, then connect the constant power back up start the car and select the fm source then power down the radio again then turn it back on to fm and then try to switch it to xm it should come up, this came from pioneer direct to best buy stores.
