im getting ready to install an alpine M350 amp in my trunk and i was wondering how bad it would be on the amp to mount it upside down under the parcel tray . it would be the best way to hide all the wires but i am told it can cause heat issues. any opinions here?

There are holes on the bottom on the sides right? Heat should dissipate through there. I have mounted amps upide down and never had a problem. Thats doesn't mean it can't cause one though. If your really worried about heat I always recommend a fan.

Try a computer store.

A fan as suggested above is a must.  Most amps do not like being mounted upside down and indeed some owners manuals state the warranty is void if you use them this way.  Heat will build up on the circuit board instead of being pulled away from it.  But, if you HAVE to do this, definately use a fan and leave a space between the bottom of the amp and whatever you are mounting it against so that air flow can be directed there.
