im thinking of running some 8 inch subs in the doors on my protege, but ill need tweeters. so to pull thsi off shold i buy some components and just not use the midbass drivers, and instead wire up the 8's in place of the midbass drivers? or do i have to make up my own crossover network?

It's not a good idea to use subwoofers to replace midbass in a vehcile. If you want an 8 inch midbass..id look into the Adire Koda 8's.

Memphis car audio has a component set that is 8" driver and 1" tweet with crossover network Go HERE for details..

I used this set in a Dodge Ram once and it sounded amazing.....Only thing I have to say is if you are running them off a factory deck you are pissing in the wind....If you want this particular set of speakers to perform I would suggest an amp....

Unless you are running a newer aftermarket HU with a High power internal amp.....

But other than that they rock...
