Subject: Alpine MRV-1505 bridged @ 2ohm?

I just bought 2 Alpine MRV-1505's. Each one will be dedicated to one 12" L7. The only problem is that the L7's are dual 4's and the amp specs don't list whether the amp can handle a 2 ohm load in bridged mode. I didn't know if they don't list any any RMS ratings with anything over .3% THD or it just can't handle the load. It's an older amp so I'm hoping some of you have had experience with them before.

Not likely. I know of not even ONE Alpine amp that was ever one ohm stable... looks like 4 ohms per channel is what you're stuck with!...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

It is rated to handle a 2ohm load per channel in stereo mode. I'm not looking for 1 ohm stable, just 2 ohm in bridged.

You kept the receipt, right? Take them back and get 2-ohm stable mono block amps instead.
