I have a 2000 Grand Am and just purchased some Kappa 50.5cs and was wondering what is the best way to mount them in the doors. Factory size was a 4x6. Has anyone done this before and what was involved. Also what is the best way to mount the tweeters in thier factory locations in the mirror pillar. Any help and input is welcome!!!!

I don't know if this will help but I mounted 6.5's in a 4x6 spot in my GMC with a little help from mister jigsaw. Trust me, being a kappa user, all larger kappas beat the heck out of the kappa plate 4x6"s, so modification is worth the trouble. Trust me, Iv'e been there.

I'm using the 6.5 Kappa Perfect up front and 6.5 Kappa coaxials in the back in my 95 240. Fortunately it's the factory size. Jigsaw, airsaw, tin snips, whatever. Just cut them in.
