My buddy needs a fan or two for his amps and I had a question for the "experts" about it.
His car is a full custom street driven hydraulic lowrider (66 Chevy Impala) and everything inside is glassed and custom. This makes it a huge job to run any wire through pass compartment. So I was wondering if I could just tap into his 0ga power wire that runs back to his distribution block with the proper fuse for the 12v pos. Will this cause any noise interference? The fans he has are only .35 amps.

There's 12 volts at the REM turn on wire and the remote uses less than half an amp itself. Use that wire and stay off the power wire. Put a Bosch relay before the amp REM and split the leads out to the amp and the fans...

Thats what I was thinking and he has a stinger temperature sensing fan control to connect as well. Its just so custom built and everything in there was built to stay. I guess I'll still have to run power from fusebox or battery then.
Maybe one of the rear tail lamps could spare a .5 or 1 amp for 1 or 2 fans.

Yeah, you should be able to find a constant 12V back there somewhere. The amperage isn't an issue, but what is an issue is what makes the fans turn on and off? That's why using the amp turn-on wire is a good idea. The fans come on with the amp and shut off when the amp shuts off. A temp sensing control can start up those fans all day in the summer (...I'm guessing).
