I'm wiring 1 set of speakers to a new stereo in a boat. The speakers can hold a max of 150w each, my stereo is 50w x 4. If I wire it AS IS I'm only going to get 50w going to each of the two speakers. If I'm just going to have the one set of speakers installed can I run both the front and rear wires coming out of the receiver to each of the two speakers. Essentially turning the 50w x 4 into 100w x 2.
Front L + Rear L to one speaker
Front R + Rear R to the other speaker Thanks -Morgs

whats the specs on the deck? usually you cant bridge the cd deck like that unless it is stated on the box. plus i dont think ive really seen a radio that caqn throw more then like 15-30 watts. but then again i could be wrong, ive also read on some website that a guy ran a test and he hasnt seen a radio throw more then 15-30 even though they stated 50w....im going to try and find that site. but if im wrong im sorry....

NO, you cannot do that, you will fry your head unit. Don't look at max power rateings, they mean nothing, ,look at RMS rateings. Your headunit will be around 18 watts rms each channel.
