posted_imageposted_imagein my installations, my speaker mountings has been on the same side or plane of the car, such as rear deck component speakers with woofer and tweeters behind rear seats, and in each corner of car for right and left channels. or, for fronts, woofers down at foot wells, tweeters up on A-Arm pillar, or on dash facing up, but a car i am working on now posseses mounting issues.

it is a 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. the doors are lined and trimmed in leather, so no go on door mounted tweeters, no pillar to place the tweeter in, its the frame of the windshield, and the speakers in front, rest at the farthest lower end of the foot rest floor boards of the left and right, tucked up under the dash. the owner wants no holes in doors or dash, and aside from cutting open a hole for the tweeter in the lower foot well through steel, near the door hinge, mounting the tweets on the same side of the car as its companion woofer are problematic. cutting holes in the steel frame are the only solution.

will mounting the tweets opposite the woofers on the side of the center console have adverse affects on the sound??
