I was cruisin today with the bass up pretty loud and everything just shut off.  I have a ported box and smoke was comin out of it, and my amp was turned off.  I put new fuses in the amp, and hooked everything back up.  I have everything turned down low, and smoke still comes out of the port, and the amp keeps going into protection mode.  What's goin on?

You just blew your subs... You probobly overheated the voiceoils in your subs and they are burning.

you blew your subs or sub...don't try to play your system with them hooked up anymore...you could further damage any other components in your system...mainly your amp...take them out...write them off...find out why you think they might have blown...and get new ones

you more than likely blew your subs or they are just about there. Since your subs have done this your amp is shutting down to protect itself. Maybe your gain was a bit too high and not matched properly?

get a meter and see what the resistance is on your subs.
