I have a 92 civic hatch back and I want to build my own custom enclosures for my car. I've seen where guys have molded nice neat enclosures in their rides and I want to do the same . I'm working with 2 JL Audio 10 W3 for bass . Basically I would like to know where I can get the materials and which materials are the best to use. The reason I would rather do the moldings is 1) It looks great, 2) it's a space saver, but I don't know what effect this would have on sound quality. Also how does it work do i make 2 boxes then use the molding stuff around it or just fabricate some type of template and then just start molding.I,ve read some of the articles here but my concernes were'nt 100% answered can someone help me.posted_image

Get a heavy and light weight fiberglass at a Home Depot or a autobody shop. If you want a molded fiberglass look, you will need alot of patience and trial/error. If you want more information on this type of procedure, sign up at this forum and you will learn lots !! https://groups.yahoo.com/group/glassmanscustomforum/
