Hello, I love this web page, it's so helpful, And I was actually hoping that it may help me out again.I'm looking for the Wire Colors that come from a Kenwood KDC-216s wire harness, Such as
Black-ground
Yellow- Power
and so on.
So if anyone would have this information for me, It would be as GREAT help.
Thanks

Red - switched +12V

Yellow - Constant +12V

Black - Ground

Blue - Amp remote turn on.

Blue/white stripe - Power antenna

White  /  WHITE/ Black Stripe - Front Left Speakers

Gray   /  Gray/Black Stripe - Front Right Speakers

Green   /   GREEN/ Black Stripe - Rear Right Speakers

Purple  /  PURPLE / Black Stripe - Rear Left Speakers

That should be all of them, that model didn't have the illumination option, and was before Kenwood introduced tel mute into their line. This is off of memory, and I know the White and Gray are for the front, and Green and purple are for rear. The sequence may be wrong, try hooking one at a time on one designated speaker lead and test.

Before you cut your factory harness in your vehicle to complete this install, I would go to your local stereo shop and buy an aftermarket harness, it will save you time and headache. Also makes the install easier.
