It works fine as long as you use the correct speakers.

I was actually just investigating it but, if I were to try it I would build and enclosure under the deck.

Would it add bass to the cabin or should I just leave them in the trunk? What are your opinions on slot ported enclosures. I listen to mostly rock and I like tight bass. I have read the slot ported enclosures will hit harder and better than sealed. Is this true or a mith?

sealed IMO will hit tighter than ported. if you listen to rock i would go sealed built to the minimum specs of sub.

if you put the subs in the rear deck, you'll have to make a box for them, the trunk wont do, i would go ported, either sloted or a square port, sloted placed above the subs closest to the window, or if your going square then, place it in the middle between the subs.
of course you'll have to build a whole new deck, BUT make sure you keep your existing one though. just in case you wanna sell the car to someone.

Jeff,

I haven't been able to find a single pic of that car. I even checked out every picture that Lightning has on their website.

Lots of cutting and fiberglassing... Could run IB setup if you get a BIG 12" or 15" sub- making the trunk the enclosure.
