its kinda unusual thing it starts playing music for 30 min everything goes fine but then it suddenly stops, saying error-02 (which means dirty disk) i changed many disks the same result, first i was thinking may be overheating checked HU not even hot. But this problem occures only with cd and mp3's if i put dvd it can play it forever What might it be????

P.S. HU is Pioneer AVH-P6500 DVD

Thank you

try starting the disc at about track 10 and see if it still takes 30 minutes to quit or not.......  all the newer optical pickups are self-compensating ( there are no external focus or tracking adjustments anymore) so alignment isnt an issue like it was in the old days.... are you using deck power?  or pre-outs? ( it still may be a thermal problem)

if only on audio... are you burning these discs? or are they store bought?   if burned, are you burning to a proper "Audio / Music" disc? or one of those cheap 10 for a dollar data discs?   Data discs are not pressed to an ad hoc specification like music discs are, and their thickness will vary greatly....if there is even a slight woggle to the disc when playing it will be greatly exaggerated by the time you get 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the disc... like throwing a rock in a puddle and watching the ripples, the ripples at the outside are far greater amplitude than the ripples in the middle... i have run across many cases where it's the discs that are the problem, not the player.....

just a few suggestions of things to ponder or look into......

can you physically feel the unit at the point at which it cuts out? is the heat sink hot at all?  does that unit have an accomodation for switching off VCC to the O/P IC?
