hey you guys im not to sure about the main differences between these subs made by memphis. the power reference have 50w more rms but ive heard the mclass subs are a notch higher. Any input would be great thanks.

The power ref will handle more power....The mclass is just designed differently so that It will perform in small enclosures...The pow ref REALLY like ported enclosures....They will get loud....The bass response from the pow ref is not as tight as with the M-Class....

They have just this year redesigned the Pow ref speaker and fixed a lot of the bugs...They are rock solid now...Very nice sub...Geared more toward SPL than the M-Class..

My friend has the Power Referance subs, they get really loud, but I dont like the way they sound compared to my Orion C-12s, whci are similarly priced and have similar specs. They can handle quite a bit of power and they do get really loud.
