I installed a pioneer deh-16 HU in my 93 blazer. after completing the install I was goofing around with the buttons trying to set the clock and I screwed up some setting somewhere. All I get from the front speakers is sound that sounds as if it is going through a reverb unit does anybody know how to fix it. I think this problem had something to do with the settings you can chnge by hjolding the audio button for a few seconds. I have tried disconnecting the battery t reset the headunit but thi sdidn't work. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Ryan

I have looked in the manual it was no help. FIE is off. I'm starting to think this HU is bad. If I turn the balance all the way left or right the sound from the front speakers is normal.

Doesn't sound to be in settings. Sounds like you have another issue. Try checking the polarity of your speaker connections, if you have one swapped, it will cause described distortion. -------------

ya, if its soemthing that corrects itself with the balance then its a good bet you have a phase issue. Check your positive and negatives.
