This is probably for Steven but if anyone can help that would be great.

I have placed an order for 2 Adire Audio Shivas and was told that there are now dual 8, dual 4, and dual 2 Ohm shivas, is that true? If so i ordered 2 dual 4Ohm Shivas and was gonna wire everything in parallel to present a 1 Ohm load to my Kenwood KAC-X811D mono block amp ...

Would this be a good/safe setup to run if i didn' go crazy with the settings?

Also, what is usually the best way to hide/run wiring when you mount subs inverted?

You stand to gain very little, other than distortion, by running that much power to the Shivas.

Ease up on your amp and the power to the subs. Everything will be much happier.

So just keep the bass settings low to normal and be careful with the volume?

If you havn't ordered your subs yet I would buy the dual 2 ohm versions instead. Then wire them so they present a 2 ohm load to the amp. 800 watts is plenty for a pair of Shivas and there would be less distortion at 2 ohms than at 1 ohm.

I agree with the above. However even 800 watts can be a bit much for a pair of Shiva's in most enclosures.

As for your wiring, there is no real way to hid the wiring. Instead it is best to show off. I'm going to be running 8 awg wire on my inverted sub.

I changed my order to DVC 2 Ohm shiva's and see what you mean about power. The recommended air space per shiva 1.2-1.5 cu. ft. correct? If so and I run it at 2 Ohm like you said would it be better to shoot for 1.2 cu. ft. or 1.5 cu. ft. of air space per shiva? Wouldn't smaller be slightly better with alot of power? I am looking more for Boom then SQ. Lastly do I need to change the phase of the woofers if i mount both of them inverted or is that only if one is inverted and one isn't?
