Currently, I have a Kenwood headunit that has 50Wx4. I have a three amp system, so currently I'm not using the internal amp of the headuit.

Here's the issue: I want to add an additional set of tweeters - just tweeters. They are rated at like 50w RMS.

Can I connect them using the speaker wires from the headunit, even though I'm utilizing the headunit's RCA output already?

Will this work? Any drawbacks? Any one try this?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

There is nothing wrong using the decks amplifier, however you will need to have some sort of x-over set up either from the deck or a passive one that comes with the tweeters, otherwise if you play them full range they won't last long

Why do feel the urge to add a second set of tweeters?

Yes, this will work, put some 4.7uf caps on them.
