I have a custom plexi bandpass enclosure for a 12" Oz sub (way too big for wife at 3.2cu ft). The specs for my sub call for a 1.5 cu ft sealed enclosure.  I've checked the enclosure's dimensions and can make it work, but the plexi is the question.  My custom box has 3/4" plexi on the front and back. If I mod the enclosure to make it a sealed box, I'd have to use of one of the plexi panels as a mounting board for the 12" woofer.  Is this possible?  Is this recommended?  How would you go about it? How will plexi afect sound Q?
Thanks

The enclosure and sub are for sale in the classifieds, so if they sell I wont have to do this mod :)

You can cut plexi just like you would cut MDF, use a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade. Make sure you have no vibration on the plexi when cutting or it will crack. Plexi will not affect SQ to any noticable amount. When mounting the sub make sure you drill the srew holes big enough for the screw to grip the plexi but not to squeeze into the hole or the plexi will crack. It is a little more difficult to work with compared to MDF but not by much.
