Hi

I run a shop and am having issues with XM. I have tried to activate my in shop service (demo unit). These guys have tried to but there the last 3 times I have called I have gotten the run around. They state a problem with my account. ( I have had it active for more than 2 years) I see my commission checks with no problem. I have been told they will make a problem report and they will call me back within 72 hours. I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks.

I don't have issues with Sirius at all. I call them or activate somebody on line and it is done within 5 min. It takes XM up to 2 hours! I waited in a dealership parking lot for more that an hour after I installed XM in a VW.

Here is another gripe. I buy my product through a distributor. I recently quoted a Delphi MyFi to a guy. He wanted it then backed out on me saying he bought one on e-bay for what it COST me! I complained to the distributor about it but got nowhere.

Interested in other people's views.

Finally got somewhere. All it takes is a simple e-mail to the regional rep and my request was granted. Just have to speak to the higer-ups to have results.

it's a shame that people have to complain to the higher ups to get anywhere. if they would just do their job right the first time we wouldn't have to complain.

as for the MyFi, I know the big box retailers had a special for the employees. you could pick up a Myfi for like $100 dollars and had to activate it for a year. there are some people that try to take advantage of the special to make a profit for themselves. not much you can do about that.

by the way Sirius IS the way to go. I had XM since it came out and I like Sirius far better for me. Faction #28 and  Backspin #43 is tight.

I totally agree with you on Sirius. I had their service first. the equipment was hard to come by and very limited but the service is better in my opinion for content and strength of service. My cusomers have requested XM so I must abide by their wishes. I like Alt Nation, Backspin, Hot Jams, Wax, Hip Hop, etc... I have given XM an honest listen but haven't found the quality of music on Sirius. So I root for the underdog on this one I hope Sirius can have a super strong year!

I agree, I also had XM, but went to Sirius; and I was pretty glad too, I had such a problem getting XM to stop my service and stop billing me.  Sirius is right on top of things anytime I need to call, and the content does seem to be better.

I believe that the larger the corporation, the more difficult it is to get someone that does what they are paid for, take AOL for instance; has anyone here ever tried to cancel an AOL account, you have to practically fake your own death to stop them from billing you.

eh? what did you just say?
