I was just wondering how much voltage should I be getting from the remote turn on wire from my Pioneer stereo.  My amp won't turn on & I'm wondering if my amp is any good.  I'm getting 12V & Ground to it, but I was just wondering how much voltage the remote provides.

Voltage should be 12 volts, but current may only be 200mA. If necessary, connect the remote turn on lead from your head unit to #85 of an SPDT relay, #87 to a constant 12V+ source, #86 to ground, and #30 to the remote turn on lead of your amplifier. If the coil of the relay energizes when you turn on your head unit, then you know the remote turn on lead from your head unit is good.
