hi all.just had a question about amp racks.i would like to put my amps under my front seats in my car(2000 ford focus).i remember years ago seeing this one car in a magazine.he had his amps under his seats but they were on this platform that he could slide out when he wanted to show the amps off or to just get to them.im guessing they were on some kind've of slide out tray.i was wondering if anyone has seen this before and is there a company that makes these?could'nt imagine building them myself.

More than likely, these were custom built, as there are too many factors that contribute to building an amp rack (size, shape, application, etc) there are really no amp racks on the market to those extremes. To be quite honest, I have never seen an amp rack manufacturer ( not to say they don't exist with some type of prefab racks. )

These amp racks are custom built, I have built racks like this before. what you need do is measure you space and build a platform. go to office depote and get some regular drawer slides. you can atach one sid of the slides under your seat to the seat deck and the other section to the platform. now slid it in the reciving holes of the slid. you can mount you amp to this platform and slid it out like you would a key bord on your computer

Just make sure if you are not attatching something like a linear actuator to move the drawer that you have some way to keep it from sliding around while the car is in motion. You can do some serious damage to your amps, wiring, and passengers if you don't.
