I'm trying to bypass the factory amp in my 1995 ford explorer, but no company makes a bypass harness for my car. Does anyone know which wires i need to connect to just bypass this? There's two connectors two the amp, the smaller squarer one, the one that is closer to the back door, has 8 wires--lightblue, lightblue/black, WHITE/ orange, WHITE/ red, green, yellow, gray, PURPLE / white--and wider 2nd connector that is the one closest to the front of the vehicle with 11 wires, 6 are smaller guage than the other 5--smaller 6: gray/pink, ORANGE / red, GREEN/ tan, WHITE/ green, gray/blue, tan / YELLOW; larger 5: blue, lightblue/white, ORANGE / green, darkgray/green, GREEN/ purple

You should find the factory speaker wire harness under the pass. side rocker panel. The 8 wires will be bundled together. The colors will be ORANGE / green lf+, Light blue/white lf-, WHITE/ green rf+, Dk green rf-, Grey/blue lr+, tan / YELLOW lr-, ORANGE / red rr+, Brown rr-. Check speakers with 9 volt battery.

Circuit City (at least 3 years ago) has the parts for that. I actually had them do the same thing to my 95 Explorer.

Check with them...

The part that you need to bypass the amp can be found at circuit city.  It comes as a big bundle of wires that you can plug into the harness at the factory amp. Then you would run the wires up to the radio.
