This is an older deck...but Last time I used it(91 Grand AM) the LCD backlight worked...now it is in a 2002 Dodge Neon...and there is no LCD backlight...all the buttons light up but not the LCD backlight, all wires are connected right...as the HU works fine just minus the backlight. Can anyone help?

shall I just buy a New HU cause my fear is the LEDS are surface mounts...and they have gone out?...or could it be that I need to tie the illumination wire in the harness in somewhere?
