My friend was out and saw a sale on some MA amps and got 4. I'm getting two and he's gonna have two. They are the HK1998's and they are pretty good from what I hear. I have a jeep liberty, so not much space but some. I wanna push as many and as big subs as I can for as little money as possible. I've been looking around and I've seen some 15" Cerwin Vega's for $89, but I dont know much about them. I'm not worried about SQ too much now because I'm too cheap and I just want a loud system. I only have about $260, for the subs, to play with and after I get the subs I'll have to make a box. I would like it to be ported/vented, but whatever sounds good works. Thanks again.

o and I've seen some Audiobahn subs for $70ish. I see Audiobahn in flea markets along with Pyle and Pyramid, and hear so many bad things about their woofers, yet so many people die by them. Also does alphasonik make a good sub? https://www.sonicelectrnix.com/item_2973.html theres a link

I've always liked Alpine Type-R's. You could probably get two of those somewhere for ~$250. Or if you're really just all about SPL, check out some Kicker Solo Baric subs. Those will definitely be loud. A couple sites I like to browse for subs:
Online Car Stereo
Ikesound

Cerwin Vega subs are OK subs. Stay away from the Audiobahn, Pyle, Pyramid. The Solo Baric's will be way over what you want to spend, but the Kicker Comp's will get loud also.

Make sure you have enough space for whatever subs you select....so figure out cubic feet total that you can give up first....before selecting the subs.  The Cerwin Vega subs are good bang-for-the-buck and can be had for a good price in a lot of places.  The sensitivity on those is high, and with a large enough enclosure you won't need a whole lot of power to run them.

supradude, Solo Barics wouldn't be way over his budget -
L5 for $159.
L7 for $269.
And the Barics definitely give you plenty of boom.

That is a good price on the Solo's. I was looking at " I wanna push as many as as big subs as I can for as little money as possible". That is why I suggested the Comp's instead.

Ahh, I get it now. I saw it as he wants to load it up with booming bass, but keep some of the already small amount of space he has... I don't know why I read it like that. But I agree, the Comps would be a great choice. They would have much better SQ than the SB's, too.

Also when I say loud, I mean pretty loud but at the same time isn't painfully distorted. Thats interesting thoug, because I really liked the Kicker comps, but I've never heard them and don't know what to expect. So do you think 2 C15-4's would do the trick? How much better are the CompVR's? They have the regular ones on www.ikesound.com , which is also a favorite of mine, for $80. What about an Adire Tempest? https://www.speedsound.com/caraudio.asp?pg=products&specific=jmroomhmk
I hear many good things about Adire, so maybe this may be a good buy.

Sorry for all the questions but I would like to put this project together soon. Thank you all who replied.

Get the Tempests if you are willing to wait for them, Adire is redesigning thier entire line and the new subs might be avalible untill august. If you cant wait try one of these two woofers, they are very similar to the Tempest.
