Ok so.....I Need some technical advice. I will be buying a kicker L7 solobaric and their new kx1200.1 mono amp. Should I bu the sub in the DVC 2 Ohm version or the DVC 4 Ohm version. I know that running the dvc 4 Ohm in parralle l will yield a 2 ohm load on the amp. so that means if i run the DVC 2 Ohm in parrallel i will get 1 Ohm load on the amp. the specs on the amp are 1200 X 1 rms @ 1 ohm, 600 X 1 rms @ 2 ohm, and 300 X 1 rms @ 4 ohm. The specs on the 2 ohm sub are....total peak handling 1500 watts max. 75-750 watts rms(375 watts per coil). So all this being said here's my question: If i were to hook it up under a 1 ohm load that would mean that i was running 1200 X 1 rms @ 1 ohm (600 wats to each coil right?) wouldn't that be too much power for one sub?
You might want to run a dual 4 ohm sub just for the fact that at 2@ you will still be pushing a good amout of power and you will not be working the amp as hard.

Plus at a 2@ load the amp's THD ratings are at 1.5%, add that to a solobaric that already isn't the best for SQ and U have a pretty crappy sounding sub. Drop it to 1omh and the THD will go up!
